To fix - Got to profile - preferences go down a bit until you see the above, and select no

what I mean is, when you post a reply, a checkbox asks wether you want to recieve notifications on that particular topic - this is what Pie was talking about.
What I'm talking about however, is a general option.

You are both talking about the same thing: Recieving an e-mail every time someone replies to your post. That's what you are both talking about as you are both talking about the same settings that you have to change.

no we're not!!! but tbh I cba to argue with you. What he was talking about was the setting for individual replies. I was talking about a blanket setting

If you uncheck the box it will always be unchecked until you check it again
